Learn the Signs Act Early is a program of the Centers for Disease Control. The purpose of the program is to inform parents, doctors and children’s caregivers of developmental milestones so that they can identify a child who may have a delay. The child then can receive intervention early which has shown to be very effective.

Early Intervention, What Doctors Should Know but Don’t!

Pediatricians are not Child Development Specialists. They often miss delays in children, which in turn causes delays in treatment. All states have State Interagency Coordinating Councils SICC that can help parents find early intervention services that their child is entitled to under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act IDEA.
