You will be amazed at how your parenting style will be more reflective of the support necessary for your child’s to advance to his/her next developmental milestone.  As your child progresses through the classes, you will gain more confidence as a parent while strengthening the bond between you and your child.   Bright Beginnings classes include an Ages and Stages Questionnaire, Third Edition ®(ASQ-3) Screening to establish the starting point of your child’s development before purposeful parent and child interaction commence. We offer developmental screening in each class at no additional cost. You will be astonished at how your child has developed by leaps and bounds! Should you decide to attend subsequent classes, we will track your child’s development with ASQ-3.

For example, if your child has tantrums while shopping, we will teach you strategies (at the store) to significantly reduce or stop your child from having tantrums. We coach parents with special needs children too!

It’s Aparent is also available to provide coaching to relatives and/or siblings who are also effective by the child’s challenging behavior.  Depending on the frequency of the behavior, we are usually able to help you to have an effect on your child’s challenging behavior within 12-24 hours.

Children’s Classes

Effective and Meaningful Play- class takes a holistic approach to meeting the developmental needs of your infants or toddlers through interactive play.  While you play, sing and have fun with your child in our classes, you will also learn how to honor and respect your child’s lead or cue.  Classes are designed to help you honor and respect your child’s lead (cue) by guiding parents to encourage their children to become authentic, attentive, active, exploring and aware of self and others. Small groups of parents and their babies come together in a relaxing, infant-toddler friendly environment to take pleasure in your child’s unfolding development and play.  We believe the child and parent’s relationship is similar to a dance team in which both members of the dance team need to know the steps. Someone has to know the “leads” or cues, and someone has to read the “leads” in order to know which step of the dance is coming next. Our facilitators will guide parents in recognizing and responding to their child’s needs in an unobtrusive manner. Our aim is to help you promote your child’s optimal development while strengthening your relationship with your child.  “Follow the child, they will show you what they need to do, what they need to develop in themselves and what area they need to be challenged.”
