Faith Mischel-Golden

Faith Golden, the founder of It’s Aparent has over 19 years experience working with young children and their families. Faith began her career in this field as an Early Interventionist through the Regional Center and was eventually recruited to teach a preschool mixed class for LAUSD.  There, she earned distinction as a no-nonsense teacher and parent educator. Over the years, Faith realized that parent education was needed at the school where she taught, so she began teaching Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) to interested parents the parents at the school. Faith also found the techniques in her classroom. 

In 2008, Faith left LAUSD behind and founded It’s Aparent.  Faith and It’s Aparent have been very successful in using a the STEP behavioral approach along with Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA)to teach limit setting and consequence based parenting methods.  IN 2011 It’s Aparent moved to Encino and expanded it’s offerings to include Bright Beginnings, Developmental Parent and Me Classes, Daddy and Me classes, Art classes for children, Sign language classes, workshops and other classes for parents on Discipline and other subjects.

It’s Aparent’s goal is to help parents raise successful independent children with less stress.
